Story
We are walking part of the Monarch's Way, from Stratford on Avon to Bristol, 111 miles, in approx 5 mile stages.
Friends & family are invited to join us.
This Long Distance Path follows the route taken by King Charles II when he fled to France after the Battle of Worcester in September 1651.
Our first walk was on 20th March, from Stratford to Long Marston, where Charles spent a night at the Manor House, disguised as a manservant. He was nearly discovered when he couldn't work the roasting spit in the kitchen! Walk two took us from Long Marston to Hidcote Manor Garden on 2nd April. The third walk is scheduled for Easter Monday 18th April.
